Last week we had new government shows from the minister, and it concerned how the lines of shame are stopping at EOPYY pharmacies and patients will now receive them at home.
The measure is good, but the question is what medications do patients generally take, and we are referring to the innovative ones that other European citizens can and do take.
According to an article by the president of SFEE, Mr. Olympios Papadimitriou, on behalf of ethnos.gr, he states that although innovation in pharmaceutical treatment is booming with the aim of patients taking new drugs increasing their life expectancy or quality of life, everyday life is changing, patients are returning to their work.
However, the environment in Greece with the continuous underfunding makes the work of companies difficult, creating insurmountable obstacles so that Greek patients’ access to new innovative medicines is difficult. During the period 2021-2024, one in five innovative medicines was available in Greece.
