Robotics Olympiad 2025: Greek students from Crete come first

Students from Heraklion, Crete, achieved impressive international success in the field of educational robotics, achieving top positions in the 2025 Athletic Robotics Olympiad .

These successes are the fruit of many months of dedicated preparation and systematic work in the design, construction and programming of the robots, demonstrating the high level of training and creativity of the young people of Crete.

International Distinction of Cretan Students in Robotics

Last Monday, April 14, 2025, the Stable Dragons and Robot Knights teams, composed of students from the Stable Robotics robotics school based in Heraklion, Crete, managed to distinguish themselves among global participations in the 2025 Athletic Robotics Olympiad.

The students, George Lykogiannakis, Yannis Borboudakis and Vasilis Tsentelieros (Stable Dragons) won 1st Place in the LEGO Rally category, as well as 6th place internationally in the LEGO Marathon.

Students Yiannis Apostolakis and Sifis Koulakis (Robot Knights) won 1st Place in the LEGO Rally category as well as 8th place in the LEGO Marathon.

These distinctions were the result of many months of preparation in the design, construction and programming of the robots, as the requirements of the competition are particularly high.
