There are times when, no matter how far you are from your homeland, you feel like your heart remains there. As a Venezuelan living in Spain, I have learned that distance does not diminish love. On the contrary, it often makes it even stronger. <\/p>\n\n

In recent days, seeing the difficult times that people there are going through, I have felt the same weight on my soul again. My family members, my friends, and so many other people are trying every day to continue their lives through enormous difficulties. The anguish is great when you cannot be by their side. However, Venezuela has taught me something very important, to never lose hope. Our people have incredible strength, dignity and humanity. Even in difficult times, people continue to help each other, to share and to smile. <\/p>\n\n

I also want to express my gratitude to all those who, even from other countries, truly care about the people of Venezuela. Solidarity knows no borders and every act of love gives strength to those who need it. <\/p>\n\n

I wish that my country will once again experience days of peace, security and progress, that families can live without fear, that young people can dream of a better future within their own homeland.Venezuela is not just a place. It is its people, our memories, and the hope that one day we will see the smile return to everyone’s faces. <\/p>\n\n
